Who runs Lifesavers?
Lifesavers is run and operated by the Just Finance Foundation and is funded by the Benefact Trust.
The Just Finance Foundation (JFF) has a vision of a fair financial system and addresses the issues of financial exclusion, distress caused by unmanageable money worries and debt, and the lack of practical knowledge around budgeting, saving and spending.
JFF’s work is principally guided by our 4 aims:
Increase the supply of fair and affordable finance and financial services, particularly for low-income households.
Build people's motivation, expertise and access to fair financial services.
Equip future generations to manage their money wisely.
Develop fair financial systems in local communities.
Our programmes - including Lifesavers - are not just designed to tackle these aims, they are concurrently informed by the knowledge of individuals and grassroots communities who experience these issues day-to-day. Our aims and therefore programmes, are guided by academic and stakeholder research which shows the mounting, multifaceted evidence that financial exclusion is harming the fabric of societies in the UK.
